Linda and John Steele have been with Avon for 13 years and run their Avon business as a family team.
Linda began Avon as a personal shopper and never dreamed that it would be such a big part of their lives. Linda was a retired math and computer science teacher and John was a chemical engineer and had just retired from management in a large chemical company. Linda had always loved and used Avon products and began the Avon business on her own at the same time that they were beginning a new real estate business together. They concentrated most of their efforts on the new real estate business and Linda worked on Avon in her spare time.
John did not take Avon seriously until Linda began exploring the leadership opportunity after one of her customers inquired on how to begin their own Avon business. This was just after her second anniversary with Avon. After helping her new recruit begin her new Avon business, Linda found that she loved training and mentoring new Avon representatives. Teaching and training has always been a passion that she loved and Avon’s leadership program allowed her to get back into this. Linda quickly made her Fast Start Bonus and Unit Leader title, and as soon as John saw how much she enjoyed what she was doing and calculated the network marketing potential, he joined into the business and together they made Executive Unit Leader in just 25 campaigns. John set goals for them to achieve and his past management skills helped plot their course to success. They are continually trying to improve their knowledge of the business and Avon products. John became a Certified Beauty Advisor and Linda became a Certified Beauty Advisor Trainer to better support and mentor their unit.
They currently have over 500 active representatives in their unit and are continually looking for new ways to grow even more with Avon. They have switched their focus to Avon full time and opened a Licensed Avon Beauty Center that is now in its 5th year allowing them to utilize both of Avon’s earning opportunities to the fullest. They are now at President Council level with their personal sales over $200,000 per cycle and are well on their way to the coveted Inner Circle level. They have continually kept their focus and goals in front of them for both personal sales and their leadership business and reached the Senior Executive Unit Leader position in Campaign 4 of 2012. Linda and John’s leadership team produces about two million dollars in sales each year. Their enthusiasm for Avon has resulted in their daughter joining their Avon team after completing her Master’s Degree and achieving Honor Society level in sales as well as Senior Executive Unit Leader in her leadership business, helping her finance her own home and a new car.
Linda and John have made many lasting friendships in their Avon business and have had so much fun and satisfaction working together to build their ever growing million dollar business! Avon has truly changed their lives!
