Your desire to achieve success has to be bigger than the obstacles life puts in your way-you can do this!
Anna has overcome the tragedy of losing a child and a divorce from a man who told her she would never amount to anything. She was a single mom to 2 beautiful children when in 1992, Frank Montiel found love and a ready-made family with Anna and they got married.
Anna had supported herself with her banking job, and also tried Real Estate sales, Insurance and various network marketing companies. She had done some Avon years before, and in 1996 Anna decided to start her Avon business up again, just to make some extra money, to enhance their monthly income.
Things changed when her DSM suggested leadership. Anna was hesitant, she did not feel comfortable about working that side of Avon, and felt even more uncomfortable when her DSM suggested she run an ad in the Spanish newspaper, and her Spanish wasn’t very good. She decided to take on the challenge and step out of her comfort zone! Each new appointment improved her Spanish and her team grew like wildfire!
When her girls were pre-teens, Anna was averaging about $200 each campaign in leadership earnings. She wanted to replace her job income with Avon so she could be more available to her children. She did, and went part time with her job, and added more Avon to her schedule as it was flexible for the girls. Anna achieved EUL during this time period and was jazzed about her future with Avon.
Sophia Smith attended one of Anna’s local leadership meetings and shared with the leaders there that she averaged over $9,000 a campaign in leadership earnings. That set Anna on fire to achieve SEUL and did so December 2006, Anna was the only SEUL in the Bluebonnet Division! This was her achievement that led her to quit her job finally!
Anna was shy before she started leadership in Avon. She was asked to speak at an Avon in San Antonio for 1000 attendees and loved it. Her years with Avon have given her self-confidence and the attitude to overcome any and all obstacles, they sky is the limit. Even when Anna lost SEUL title, she worked hard to analyze her team and herself, and keep pressing on until she retitled at SEUL. Keep on moving forward is Anna's mantra!
Anna loves Avon because it has given the freedom to support her community in many things she is passionate about: back to school drive, adopt a family for Christmas, and many more as well as the walk for Breast Cancer, as this is very personal for her having lost 2 beautiful Avon ladies on her team to that disease. Anna looks for community events to take part in, as she is a firm believer in serving others and giving back.
Anna’s advice to those who want to achieve great things with AVON is:
Step up to the plate and swing! Be the best you can be!
Don’t let anyone steal your dream and tell you, you cannot do it; it cannot be done or other nonsense.
DREAM BIG and step OUT of your comfort zone! Work off a vision board, taking pictures of what you want and keeping that right in front of you. Share your goals with others who support you to keep you accountable.
Don’t give up, keep going even when the going gets tough it is worth it!
